A man was walking down the street and fell in to a deep whole. The walls were steep and slippery, so try as he may he was unable to free himself from his dilemma. After a while a Doctor walked by, the man shouted up “can you please help me”. The Doctor stopped, wrote a prescription, threw it in the hole, then walked on. Before too long a priest walked by, the man hollered up “please can you help me” the priest, stopped, prayed over the man, then he too left. Soon one of the man’s friends came by, the man cried out in relief. “Hey Joe, will you please help me?” His friend promptly jumped down in the hole with him. The Man exclaimed, “What the hell did you do that for? Now we are both stuck!" His friend replied, “Don’t be afraid brother; I’ve been here before I know the way out."

I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources God will give you mighty inner strength. I pray that God will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of his marvelous love. And may you have the power to understand, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is.   May you experience his love, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. With his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope.   Lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each others faults because of your love. Always keep yourselves united, and bind yourselves together with peace.   We are all one body, we have the same Spirit, and we have been called to the same glorious future. We will no longer be like children, forever changing our minds about what we belie... [More]

Praise God for everything he has done in our lives. Praise him for the good times, and the bad. For both have made us what we are today.   We were, to the outside world week pathetic creatures that did not have the will to just "snap out of it", or "pull ourselves together". They did not nor could they ever understand the unseen fear and pain that had become a way of life and at times even comforting. But we could not open our heads and show them the hideous monster that was eating away at our very essence. And if we could the horrifying reality of it may have turned them to stone. The terrible fact that others can't see our affliction only added to the isolation, frustration, and hopelessness of our reality. In our anger we fought against God, we raged in our ignorance.   Then in his mercy he stepped in and used what the enemy intended for death and destruction, to his glory, to fulfill his will. He rescued us, each from our own self created hell, a hell Dante only wished he could have imagined. He kept us alive, though at times we longed for death. Until finally ... [More]
